Last month, Namifiers helped sponsor two local golf tournaments put on by the Utah Valley
Chamber of Commerce and Corporate Alliance. The events gave Namifiers exposure to many potential clients here along the Wasatch Front and also allowed us to show appreciation to both our faithful and up-and-coming customers by inviting them out for a free day of golf. Both events were held at Sleepy Ridge Golf Course in Orem, UT.
Namifiers’ Vice President of Marketing, Brad Gasaway, was sworn in yesterday to the Board of Directors of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce. An installation banquet was held at Utah Valley University in honor of both the exiting and newly elected board members.
The Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce is fresh off a
countywide 
alliance to represent more of the collective business voice in the area. What was formerly the Provo-Orem Chamber of Commerce officially rebranded itself in the Fall of 2009.
Gasaway will be joining forty other elected board members or honorary advisors from all over Utah County. The accepted term for all new leaders is three years, during which he will have designated responsibilities within two sub-committees of the board, the Small Business Council and the Utah Valley Advisory Council.
“I am happy to be considered for this role,” commented Gasaway. “Our valley has a lot to offer, and I see this as chance to share perspective and promote healthy business connections.”
In addition to board recognition, Gasaway was presented with the Chamber Champions Award at the event. This was presented to Namifiers for its sustained contribution to furthering the business community with steady growth, job opportunities, and solid business practices.
28 October 2010 – The Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors voted and ratified Brad Gasaway, VP of Marketing at Namifiers, to serve on their Board for a period of 3 years. Gasaway will have specific responsibility with the Small Business Council, a sub-committee dedicated to identifying the needs of Small Businesses throughout Utah Valley and connecting them with free education opportunities and resources made available through Chamber programs and affiliates. The Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce covers 23 cities in Utah County and seeks to stimulate local business establishment, growth and development.
Keep the Shower Curtain in the Tub
Conrad Hilton, the founder of the Hilton Hotel chain, was asked during a party celebrating his life if he had a word or two of advice for the millions of travelers who stayed in his establishments every year. “Indeed I do,” Hilton replied. “Please leave the shower curtain tucked inside the tub.”
Interestingly, President Howard W. Hunter, a beloved leader for the LDS Church gave similar advice at a family gathering just before he died in 1995.
It seams like a funny piece of advice, but in reality, that small observation saved Hilton millions and millions of dollars over the next few years; and for President Hunter, he taught the principle of being practical and of being a good steward to his posterity and to the thousands of church members that read his biography afterwards.
Often times the great accomplishments in life derive from paying attention to the little things. Being observant and detail oriented are precursors to success.
The biggest show in the awards industry took place February 25-29, 2008 at the Las Vegas Center and Namifiers had an awsome showing/exhibit. reserved a room block at the adjacent Las Vegas Hilton to accommodate the thousands of attendees that regularly visit the International Awards Market in Las Vegas. Approximately 5,000 people from almost 2,000 retail companies attendended.
