Do you know the Namifiers story?

March 5th, 2010 by admin

http://www.whynamify.com/blog/pivit.gifCover Story: Do you know the Namifiers story?
Pivotal Points In Namifiers History

Inevitably, in the acquaintances of life, you will get asked about your line of work thousands of times.

Yes, we namify cool stuff for people everywhere, but there is a richer history to know and tell: key decisions and milestones from our story that help explain our applaudable growth.

2002 - Hug the Internet
After just a year from our founding as The Nametag Source, we recognized the short and long-term potential of the Internet for our industry, while most of our competitors remained skeptical.  Nametagsource.com became the pioneering web store for personal identification.

2003 - Climb Supply Chain
For the first 2-1/2 years, we worked with domestic wholesalers for our goods and materials. This allowed us to be fast, something that our target market was beginning to value more, but knowing that volume determined our bottom line, we began to engineer our own offering and inventory, thereby replacing the wholesalers and becoming even faster and fiscally smart.

2005 - Compartmentalize Growth Tasks
In 2005, we further delineated responsibilities and reporting by department, in order to free up the executive leadership to perfect our processes, using principles of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

2006 - Switch from Personal Identification to Brand Manufacturing
By 2006, only 28% of our annual revenue was coming from Nametags.  The remainder came from listening to the customers and implementing aggressive solutions for the other products they needed to brand themselves.  Our evolved offering called for an evolved name change; we were now in the business of namifying a lot of “cool stuff for people everywhere”.  We officially made the change to Namifiers, LLC and launched a database-driven, online store that integrated our company knowledge base.

2009 - 50,000,000 Manufactured Pieces and 100,000 Customers Served
These two milestones resonate more sweetly when knowing they came after 8 years in the business, while many acclaimed manufacturers have taken 20+ years to build a similar resume.  The accomplishments are a testament of the tireless leadership of our CEO and work of our company family through the years.

2010 - Accelerate:  User Experience and Channel Sales
We have an established offering and a customer base that appreciates our ability to quickly take away their branding problems.  Going forward, we will perfect the user experience across the board and broaden our influence exponentially through Channel Sales, or niche industries.

2010 Namifiers New Billboard Campaign

March 5th, 2010 by admin

http://www.whynamify.com/blog/billboard.gif

New Billboard Campaign
Last year, Namifiers grabbed up some local attention with a semi-silly billboard ad featuring a Rubber Chicken (displayed along I-15 and also on South State Street in Provo.  Many of you have mentioned getting comments from friends and associates about the ad.  We will continue to display this year, but the message of 2010 is a bolder, confident one.  In a time of uncertainty, we plow forward, committed to growth and being the very best at what we do.  Those who frequent Utah Valley should know that they have a gem in their backyard with Namifiers.

March 5th, 2010 by admin

http://www.whynamify.com/blog/gregthredgold.jpgMeet Greg Thredgold

An enthusiast for helping customers.

Take a moment to meet Greg Thredgold, a new colleague and customer advocate here at Namifiers.

Greg joined our team on March 1st and brings over 20 years of experience in Customer Helping, his preferred outlook for viewing clients.  His responsibilities will anchor in sound principles of service to unify and bolster our inbound sales force.

Greg grew up nearby in Ogden, Utah and developed a love for golf, photography, and other pastimes. After serving an LDS mission to Columbus, Ohio, he furthered his hobby of photography professionally, and also began work in the hospitality industry.  Since that time, he has played a role in several success stories involving implementation and expansion of customer service programs.

Greg has been a resident of Springville for the last 10 years and is now excited to wrap his passion for the art of “customer helping” around our existing vision and help Namifiers continue to push the industry standard up and out of reach.

Family:   He and his wife, Cindy, have four sons.

Personal Motto:   Excellent customer service is whatever the customer thinks it is.

“You’ll Never Believe It” Moment:  As a newlywed, Greg worked at a hotel in Ohio and had the unique experience of bringing room service to Bill Cosby.  Bill answered the door in his underwear, just as funny and casual as we can imagine Bill Cosby to be.  Greg received a $20 tip.

Superior Customer Service at Namifiers

February 5th, 2010 by admin

$uperior Customer $ervice

Consider three recent customer reviews:

“I spoke with 3 different vendors about our order and I choose your company because of the excellent customer service I received with my requests for quotes and samples.”

“I will be ordering from Namifiers every time now. They not only delivered my product on time but 3 days early. I looked amazing for my boss.  Wow!!”

“My only complaint is the $25 set up fee on banners. I have found other websites that do banners for about the same price but without a setup fee. On the other hand, I am always satisfied with the customer service, product quality, and turn around time.”

These types of reviews are frequent, but still exhilarating because we have a genuine mission and claim to be the best at what we do, period.  The lull of routine should never remove that splendor.

The third example, mentioned above, is the best review we can receive.  Why, because the customer understood the value of great customer service, and knows that the little extra out-of-pocket was well worth it.  In other words, we didn’t have to excuse or devalue our offering in the least bit because we confidently take care of the customer and make them look good.

Our Price-Beat Guarantee is awesome, but not necessarily for the reasons you may think.  It is more of a declaration than anything … if another company can produce the quality of product we provide, as quickly as we provide it, then kudos to them and we will happily beat their price.

Always, always keep a confident attitude to defend our offering.  That individual observance will collect and culminate into the unified, sustained claim, “We are the best at what we do.”

Congratulations Tim Hulse: 2009 Namifiers Employee of the Year

January 6th, 2010 by admin

http://whynamify.com/blog/tim-chris.jpgTalents:   Computers, Auto-Mechanics
Hobbies:  Home Improvement,  Playing the Guitar
Favorite Movie:  Avatar
EOY Take-Home Prize:  $1,000  (Wal-Mart gift cards)
Contributions:
Since joining the Namifiers team in August 2008, Tim has demonstrated an excellent reliability with every workload he has been given.  He has proactively improved the efficiency and contribution margin of the Laser Engraving Line by reducing waste, operating at low error rate, and by prolonging the life of our laser equipment with regular maintenance and cleaning.

Q&A with Tim Hulse:
In your opinion, what does it take to be the Employee of the Year?
A good attitude, vision for the company, and the expectation to do better today than you did yesterday.
How have you been able to make a difference in your area?
I took what was given me and expanded upon it.  I stay on top of all the orders that run through my line, I have taken the initiative to develop some products, and I have kept my area and equipment very clean.  That last item has been significant because our laser engravers run a lot better than they used to and they will end up lasting a lot longer.
What do you enjoy most about working at Namifiers?
Being able to work with my wife, Lisa, ahttp://whynamify.com/blog/tim.jpgnd having that general atmosphere of friendship here at work.
In what ways have you grown from your experience here at Namifiers?
I have a shy personality, working here has given me opportunities to interact with co-workers and improve on my skills in communication, delegation, and overall problem solving.
What are you going to do with all those gift cards?
Buy groceries and a new office chair for my home computer.

So, how can you get involved?
The best way is to be aware.  Take advantage of opportunities to contribute to worthy causes.  Talk about where you work and what makes it a great place.  And be sure to carry some of our Namifiers Pocket Brochures with you at all times.  These have awesome pass-along value and make it super easy to show others what we are all about.

TIPS FOR LIFE by Brad Gasaway

October 6th, 2009 by admin

Keep the Shower Curtain in the Tub
Conrad Hilton, the founder of the Hilton Hotel chain, was asked during a party celebrating his life if he had a word or two of advice for the millions of travelers who stayed in his establishments every year. “Indeed I do,” Hilton replied. “Please leave the shower curtain tucked inside the tub.”
Interestingly, President Howard W. Hunter, a beloved leader for the LDS Church gave similar advice at a family gathering just before he died in 1995.
It seams like a funny piece of advice, but in reality, that small observation saved Hilton millions and millions of dollars over the next few years; and for President Hunter, he taught the principle of being practical and of being a good steward to his posterity and to the thousands of church members that read his biography afterwards.
Often times the great accomplishments in life derive from paying attention to the little things. Being observant and detail oriented are precursors to success.

Wickify Namifiers Brand for events like marathons, 5K and 10K runs, and triathlons

October 6th, 2009 by admin

http://www.whynamify.com/w/wickify-logo.gifWhat is Wickify?
Wickify is a private label brand of technical apparel, launched by Namifiers in Quarter 1 of 2009.  The brand offers race directors (for events like marathons, 5K and 10K runs, and triathlons) an affordable moisture-wicking shirt to give out to participants, at similar price points to the more generic cotton-blend shirts that are common to many events.  The aggressive price points give both small and large market races the benefit of better bottom lines, as well as reliable production windows of 3-6 weeks for most orders.
Beyond affordability, the Wickify brand benefits event coordinators in a number of ways:  the higher quality giveaway improves retention for future races, the design of the shirt allows for complete customization of material and printing, the tag template accommodates race-sponsor information, and the sales quantities make it possible for even the smaller-market races to participate.
For years, Namifiers has secured high-volume distributing and embellishment rights for hundreds of brands, including labels like NIKE Golf, Columbia Sportswear, Adidas, Champion, Hanes, PING, Carhartt, and more. The demand for Wickify, however, surfaced from niche client feedback over the last two years.  Race directors were describing the challenge of giving their patrons a high-quality experience without blowing up their budget or having to charge higher and higher entry fees.
Namifiers used this collective feedback to research and tailor entry-level shirt designs.  Those were then consumer-tested in 2008, and the initial runs were made in 2009 for the Relay Series, first in Los Angeles and then with their larger Utah race
