Why Bing’s Index and Optimization Matters - Sound the Alarm!

July 29th, 2009 by admin

Have you searched out your keywords at Bing.com?

If you like what you see then you will want to be a trend setter and tell your friends to “bing it.”

Remember don’t say the other lexicon icon’s name when you mean Web search. Say, “Bing it” instead. For Fun You’ll Want to Search Your Bing Results at Bingle- http://bingle.pwnij.com/
[Note: Bingle compares the two result sets side by side.]

Finally, Bing’s useful search features have been written extensively but little are known about optimization. I’d like to offer my two cents in three words, “Anchor Text Matters.”

If you don’t have a strategic anchor text inbound linking strategy in place then you’ll want to check out our SEO packages at http://SEO.namifiers.com

SEO.Namifiers starts you on the fast track of Bing Search Optimization*.

*Notice, I did not use an acronym BSO or many would be turned off by the first 2 initials. Also, I did not call it B.O. because again others might be turned off by the thought of stinky service. My promise to you is that there is NO BULL in the search engine marketing services we offer. Honestly, it seems like yesterday in 1999 when I was working as a SEO manager overseeing 100s of clients in the tourism industry when I went around the office for 6 months trying to convince the owners and my staff to focus more attention to Google instead of excite, altavista, infoseek. Back in the late 90s all anyone new about Google was that the name was very funny and alarmist calls were quickly forgotten and ignored. Don’t make the same mistake and sound the alarm, visit http://SEO.namifiers.com and give me a call 800-470-6970, Ext. 189 or email me back at seo@namifiers.com

Move Over Flo & Your Tricked Out Name Tag, Here Comes Namifiers Printed Lanyards

July 20th, 2009 by admin

Editor’s Opinion:floI’ve always loved the commercial by Progressive Insurance. Progressive’s television advertisements depict an insurance superstore (presumably a physical representation of the Progressive website) with an overly enthusiastic cashier, Flo, who explains the benefits of Progressive Insurance. In the first commercial Flo points out to a customer her really “Big Tricked Out Name Tag.”

Now I have a new favorite and I hope you’ll catch it on air or click here at Youtube - Take a Tour with Flo.

Here’s the note from our account executive who sent me the email for this update: So back in October I did some lanyards for progressive and was told they would be for a commercial.  This weekend I saw the commercial and thought I would let you know.  Flo is giving a tour to a bunch of people with visitor passes and the visitors all have our lanyards holding the visitor passes. Watch Now Take a Tour with Flo!

Conquering Wasatch Back 2009: On Site and Behind the Scenes

July 2nd, 2009 by admin

On June 19th, nearly 10,000 runners hit the road to conquer the Wasatch Back Relay, operated by Ragnar Events.  Among the masses of participants and volunteers were five of Namifiers very own:  Bryan Welton, Jenny Welton, Brad Gasaway, Lisa Hulse, and Tim Hulse.

Wasatch Back has quickly become a premier running event in Utah.  The course is a daunting 188 miles in length, starting in downtown Logan and winding its way to Park City.  Participants consist of 12-person teams that would take turns running 3-10 mile sections of the course.  Although there is a brief window scheduled for sleep, it is a rare accomplishment if you can sneak in a couple hours.

The challenge of taking on this event, however,  went much deeper than just the restless race and the sore muscles.  Many members of our Namifiers team worked around the clock prior to the race to produce and deliver the race shirts, hats, beanies and other Ragnar gear.  Once again, in the crunch of some very tight deadlines, we pulled together and came through.   We offer a big shout out to everyone who helped!  Thank you  for caring about the customers, and let’s continue to show how Namifiers has the best service anywhere!

Tips For Life: Proactivity Takes Practice

July 2nd, 2009 by admin

I recently read an interesting article about the differences between proactive and reactive people. The concepts are simple, yet insightful if we take an honest look at ourselves.
Proactivity- is more than “taking initiative” it also means that we take responsibility for our lives and our actions.
Proactive people do not blame circumstances or conditions for the way they behave. Their behavior is due to their own choices, based on their values-not the circumstances or conditions that surround them.
Reactive people are affected by their environment. I.e. if they do not like rain/snow, and it is raining/snowing, they chose to be negatively affected by that outside physical condition

To Change our situation, we need to first focus on US, not our outside situation. That is being Proactive (taking personal responsibility).  Like anything else, it just takes a conscious effort and …..practice.

Building Job Satisfaction: Individually and Collectively

July 2nd, 2009 by admin

By: Jamie Davies

Each of us brings a different personality and set of experiences to a team.  When combined, we can successfully perform better every day to reach our goals. When we’re happy at work, we will always do a better job, it just comes natural.

This is pointed out in the second sentence of our company mission statement:  We enjoy a high level of job satisfaction by seizing opportunities for growth and exceeding personal expectation. - To be frank, some days when things get crazy, we don’t always feel chipper and self-confident.  But even those days are part of the collective experience of working for a living.  If we understand that, and then support and respect each other daily, we will be setting ourselves up for success. - I believe there are 4 basic rules for supporting your teammates:  trust, communicate, commit to goals, and throw in a little fun. - The first two, trust and communication, are only effective if they are offered genuinely.  I choose to think of my team as extended family (Why not? Between home and work, it’s about the same :)  If they know that I am a real person too, then they feel more comfortable coming to me for help and more able to push through challenges.
It is important that this support and teamwork always be centered towards specific goals, which in our case, ultimately comes down to taking care of every customer.
Finally, throwing some fun in the day-to-day is a great refresher.  Whether it is coming up with the coolest nameplate design in the company (which we definitely have) or getting our families together after hours, these little extra experiences can contribute in big ways to overall job satisfaction.

Employee of the Month of July 2009: McKenzie Palmer

July 2nd, 2009 by admin

Congratulations to McKenzie Palmer for being selected as our Employee of the Month for July 2009.  McKenzie is an Account Executive in our Sales Department.  She spent most of her growing up years in Farmington, UT.   Her longtime nickname is MAC and when asked to describe herself with 3 words, she chose “Spaz, Bubbly, and Smiles.”  Since starting with Namifiers 3 months ago, her favorite thing about working here is having such nice co-workers.

Fun Facts:

-McKenzie loves to dance, she has been doing it since she was 3 years old.

-She was once confined to a straight jacket, not for being crazy, but she had to get stitches when she was 18 months old, and she determined not to be touch by the doctors.
