2009 Utah Work/Life Awards Namifiers Finalist
Utah’s Department of Workforce Services released its list of honorees for the 2009 Work/Life Awards, for which Namifiers, LLC has been selected as one of 18 finalists. The Work/Life program seeks to recognize and honor companies that create exceptional workplaces by effectively addressing various employee needs and striving to maintain a culture of equity and opportunity.
Results were taken from a 3-part application which included an extensive profile of Namifiers best business practices, completion of 40 anonymous employee surveys, and a final letter from the CEO.
This year’s ceremony will be held at the Sheraton City Centre Hotel in Salt Lake City on June 23, 2009. Namifiers will find itself in the spotlight with other widely-known businesses such as Best Vinyl, Comcast, Mona Vie, Mountain America Credit Union, 1-800-CONTACTS, and Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction Company among others.
Congratulations to everyone here at Namifiers! You make our team one of the absolute best in the state Utah.
Namifiers Employee of the Month for June 2009
Congratulations to Jen Larios for being selected as our Employee of the Month for June 2009. Jen has been with Namifiers for 5 years and has performed in many important roles on our Production Team.
She currently manages our Full Color Nametag line and fills in at Shipping and Laser Engraving when the need arises. Jen says that one of her favorite things about working at Namifiers is that she is always learning things and meeting new challenges.
Fun Facts:
*Some of Jen’s favorite pastimes include drawing and poetry.
*One of her lifelong dreams is to learn how to do custom paint jobs on cars!
Eat That Frog
Tips For Life By Chris Jensen One of my favorite books is called, Eat That Frog, by Brian Tracy. The principle of the book is this: if you had to eat a frog every day, you should make that the first thing you do because, undoubtedly, the rest of your tasks for the day would be much, much easier. Likewise, we all run into tasks that are, by our standards, difficult or unpleasant, so our tendency is to put them off. Procrastination is an easy thing to fall victim to, and before we know it, we are justifying all of our actions to make up for not eating our frog.
How do we overcome procrastination? Plan, Plan, Plan.
Write your daily plan down and then at the end of each day, report back to yourself on how you did. Did you eat your frog first? Did you accomplish the other aspects of your plan?
If you didn’t, see what stopped you and make adjustments for the next day. You will be amazed at what you learn about yourself and how fast you can make changes in your life to accomplish more in less time.
